Ciao Cucina

Ciao Cucina is a small Italian-run trattoria on the corner of Corrimal and Market Streets in the Wollongong CBD. Dogs are welcome at the outdoor corner tables, which are heated, so it works for a relaxed lunch or an early dinner with the dog along.

The dog setup. Dogs join you at the footpath tables on the corner, not in the indoor dining room. Outdoor heaters keep the spot comfortable on cooler evenings. Water is usually brought out on request; bring your own bowl if you want to be sure.

Good to know. The food is authentic, owner-run Italian, with grilled octopus, risotto and house-made tiramisu the dishes people return for. It is a popular spot, so booking ahead is wise, even midweek for dinner. The kitchen closes Sundays.

Getting there. Ciao Cucina is at 112 Corrimal Street, on the Market Street corner. Street parking is available nearby but is often paid or time-limited, so check the signs.

Nearby with the dogs. The Wollongong foreshore and its coastal paths are a short walk towards the water for a post-dinner stretch. Coniston Dog Beach, the nearest off-leash sand, is a short drive south.
