Dagwood Bar + Kitchen is a dog-friendly bar and Asian-fusion kitchen at 19 Market Street, next to the Adina in the Wollongong CBD. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating, so it suits an early evening drink and a snack with the dog along.

The dog setup. Dogs join you at the outdoor tables, not inside the bar. Staff are used to four-legged visitors. Bring your own water bowl, as one is not guaranteed at a bar setting.

Good to know. The kitchen does Asian-fusion street food: dumplings, bao buns and loaded fries, alongside cocktails and tap beers. It opens for dinner from 5pm seven days, with a midday brunch on weekends, so check the time before walking down.

Getting there. Dagwood is on Market Street beside the Adina, central in the CBD. Street parking nearby is paid and time-limited; the Wollongong Central car parks are a short walk if the kerb is full.

Nearby with the dogs. The CBD streets and the foreshore paths towards the harbour make for an easy on-lead walk before or after. Coniston Dog Beach, the nearest off-leash sand, is a short drive south.
