The kitchen is built around locally roasted coffee and breakfast handhelds: bacon and egg rolls, wraps, and the Bird Dog, a cheese, bacon and egg roll that regulars single out. Catering platters are on offer too. Hours run 5am to 2pm Monday to Friday, with Saturday and Sunday closed, so the early window before the tradie rush is the best time to claim a front table.

The shop sits right on Argyle Street with street parking out front and on the side streets, and the whole stretch is walkable. Victory Park is a short walk for open space, and the Gippsland Plains Rail Trail crosses town nearby for a longer, flat on-lead route before breakfast.
