Jasmine House is a newer venue on Raymond Street in central Sale, running as an Aussie-style cafe by day and an authentic Thai kitchen for lunch and dinner. Dogs are welcome at the footpath seating out front, so it suits a meal with the dog parked beside you rather than a lingering indoor session.

The dog setup. Dogs are welcome at the outdoor footpath tables along Raymond Street, not inside the dining room. There is no dog menu, so bring your own water bowl. It is a busy corner, so a dog that settles near foot traffic will do best. Call ahead on (03) 5146 6370 to confirm pet-friendly seating is free.

Good to know. The kitchen is known for fresh, balanced Thai dishes alongside coffee and sandwiches earlier in the day, in a smartly renovated space. Gluten-free and vegan options are available. Hours generally run around 11am to 9pm, six days a week.

Getting there. Street parking on Raymond Street out front is limited. For an easier spot, use the car park behind the old Woolworths/IGA complex, a four-minute walk away.

Nearby with the dogs. Sale Common Nature Conservation Reserve is close by for a walk through freshwater marshes and woodland, and the main street itself is pleasant for a short post-meal stroll.

Aim for the outdoor tables and check they are free before you arrive. Good for a dog content to lie beside a street-side table.
