Sale The Dog Park is a fully fenced off-leash park at 4 Kelsey Court, tucked behind the residential edge of town. The draw is simple: secure fencing and a big open run of grass, so a dog that needs a proper free gallop can have one without you watching the road.

The rules. Dogs run off-leash inside the fenced area, but you keep them under voice and visual control the whole time. Pick up after your dog, bags are provided at the gate. The park suits vaccinated, socialised dogs, so read the room before turning a reactive dog loose into a busy session.

What's there. A double-gate entry to stop escapes at the fence line, water for the dogs, some shade trees and shaded seating for owners, and a wide grassy field for running. Free parking sits directly alongside.

Getting there. It is a short run off the main roads through Sale, signposted into the residential streets behind the town centre. The dedicated parking area makes drop-in easy, and it is walkable from the surrounding streets.

Do a lap of the fence line before you unclip, checking for gaps and gate latches. On a fenced park the boundary is only as good as the last person to shut the gate.

Nearby with the dogs. The Sale CBD around Raymond Street has cafes with footpath seating and water bowls, and there are pet-friendly motels and caravan parks along the highway if you are staying over.

It is busiest early morning and again late afternoon after work and school. Mid-morning or early afternoon is your best window for a quieter, calmer run. Good for big dogs that need room and for careful introductions when the park is empty.
