Taste Revolution

Taste Revolution sits right on the Esplanade at Port Noarlunga South, 153-157 Esplanade, with the alfresco area facing the water. It runs as a cafe by day and a dinner and drinks venue later in the week, and dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables.

The dog setup

The alfresco seating on the foreshore side is where dogs go, on lead and beside the table, with the indoors off-limits as is standard for food venues. Staff are welcoming to pets and water bowls are generally available. Trading hours change through the week and have shifted between seasons, so check before you plan dinner here.

The seating faces the coast and gets full sun, so on hot days pick the shaded end or come at the cooler hours.

The vibe

Modern Australian plates with solid serving sizes, and the Southern Fried Chicken Burger, bacon and egg roll and toasties come up again and again, alongside brunch staples like pistachio pancakes and Biscoff french toast. The drinks list runs to cocktails, craft beer and wine, with live music on some weekends and sunset views over the water in the evenings.

Getting there

Free street parking is available along the Esplanade and nearby side streets, and the venue is wheelchair accessible. It also does takeaway and online orders if you want to keep the beach leg of the outing moving.

Make a day of it

Port Noarlunga South Beach allows off-leash time outside patrol hours, and the Onkaparinga River mouth viewpoint is a few hundred metres north. For a second coffee, Boy and Bloom and Coffee Factory Cafe are both close by and dog-welcoming.
