Old Coast Road Brewery

Old Coast Road Brewery is a working farm brewery on 60 acres between Mandurah and Bunbury, with its own beer and cider, a full restaurant menu and a big recreational lawn where dogs are welcome. If you are driving the Old Coast Road with a dog in the car, it is one of the few country stops that actually caters for the whole crew.

The dog setup

Dogs are permitted on the grassed recreational lawn, not inside the dining room or on the main deck. Tables for owners with dogs are set along the fenceline, so you order and manage your own space rather than relying on table service. Leads stay on for the whole visit, and because the dog seating sits apart from the restaurant you should bring your own water bowl rather than counting on table water.

Max: Keep to the fenceline tables and a short lead near the oval. Weekends get busy with kids and other dogs, so your dog's manners do the work here.

Worth knowing

Everything in the glass is brewed on site, and the kitchen covers steak sandwiches, pork belly bites, ribs and fish and chips, with live music through the busier months. The oval and mini-golf course make it a magnet for families, so weekends are lively and kid-heavy; a midweek or early-lunch visit is calmer for a dog that prefers space. Opening days are limited, running Thursday through Sunday only, so check the current hours before the drive.

Getting there and parking

The brewery is at 1238 West Break Road, Myalup, just off the Old Coast Road, with ample on-site parking. It is roughly halfway along the coastal run between Mandurah and Bunbury.

While you're out there

The beach at Myalup is a few minutes away for a walk on the sand, and Myalup Beach Caravan Park is the dog-friendly base if you are staying on. Further up the coast, Binningup Beach Caravan Park suits the same trip, and Benesse in Australind covers coffee on the way through.
