Modus Merewether is a large modern brewery and taproom on Merewether Street, a short walk from the beach and a popular landing spot for locals after a coastal walk. Dogs are welcome, with the outdoor covered patio the spot to aim for.

The dog setup. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor, covered patio seating, where you stay close to the brewery action. They are not permitted inside the climate-controlled warehouse dining space. Water bowls are provided. Bring a lead and settle in on the patio side.

Getting there. Address is 20 Merewether Street, Merewether. Street parking is the main option and fills up on weekends and evenings, so it is an easy walk if you are local.

Nearby with the dogs. Merewether Beach and the Ocean Baths are minutes away, and the Dixon Park off-leash reserve up the hill gives the dog a proper run before or after. Sunnyboy Kiosk at Dixon Park is a dog-friendly coffee stop nearby.
