Largs Bay Kiosk

Largs Bay Kiosk sits right on the Esplanade at the end of Jetty Road, a nostalgic beach kiosk a few steps from both the sand and the Largs Bay jetty. It does classic fish and chips, burgers, hot chips with chicken salt and thickshakes, and reviewers regularly call out the butterfish. Dogs are part of the foreshore scene here, and the whole stretch is one of the more relaxed coastal walks on Adelaide's northwestern beaches.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome in the casual outdoor seating around the kiosk, with ocean and jetty views while you eat, and they need to stay on a lead and settled beside your table. The indoor counter area is not set up for dogs, so plan on the outside tables or a takeaway order for the beach. Water bowls are not a listed feature, so bring your own portable bowl rather than relying on one being out.

Max: chips by the jetty, salt wind in my ears, and my humans guard the butterfish like it is theirs. It is not.

Worth knowing

The kiosk sits next to a fenced kids' playground, which helps if your dog is calm around small, fast-moving people. The surrounding foreshore and coastal paths fall under City of Port Adelaide Enfield rules: dogs are welcome on leash through the grassy linear park and along Lady Gowrie Drive, with signed off-leash zones and times on sections of the beach itself. Check the beach signage on the day, because the zones shift along the Largs Bay to Semaphore stretch.

Getting there and parking

The kiosk is at 1A Jetty Road, Largs Bay, where the street meets the Esplanade. Free parking runs along Jetty Road and in the car park near the beachfront, with flat, easy access from the road to the outdoor tables.

Close by with the dogs

The foreshore walking path is flat and paved, good for a leashed stroll before or after your meal, and Largs Bay Beach is metres from the tables. If you are making a morning of it, Ink Espresso is the other Largs Bay coffee stop, and Heart of Semaphore sits a short drive up the coast. Go early or late afternoon if you want the quieter foreshore path and a shorter queue; the lunchtime rush is the busy window.
