Pasadena Sydney

Pasadena Sydney is a waterfront restaurant, bar and events venue on the Church Point peninsula, where dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating overlooking Pittwater. The site has been feeding boaters, locals and holiday makers since the original Pasadena Roadhouse opened here, and it is a proper occasion venue as well as a casual drink stop: the Palms Dining room runs lunch and dinner service through the week and breakfast on weekends, with a separate kiosk out front for coffee from 6:30am.

The dog setup

Dogs join you at the outdoor tables that look over the water, and that is the only option, since the indoor dining spaces and the accommodation upstairs are off limits to pets. Settle your dog on lead beside the table and bring water on a warm afternoon; there is no published dog menu or water-bowl promise, so ask staff when you arrive. On busy summer weekends and event days the outdoor decks fill early, so booking an outside table ahead is the safer play than turning up and hoping.

The menu and the vibe

The Palms serves a coastal menu that leans on local seafood, with barramundi and water views among the things guests single out, plus cocktails and live music sessions. Hours run Wednesday lunch from 12pm, Thursday to Friday from 12pm to 8:30pm, Saturday from 8am with breakfast service, and Sunday from 8am to 5:15pm. The kiosk keeps earlier coffee hours every day of the week if you want a quick stop with the dog before the restaurant opens.

Getting there and parking

Church Point sits on Pittwater Road between Mona Vale and McCarrs Creek, about 40 minutes north of the Harbour Bridge. Parking is in the general store and marina area out front, and it tightens up badly on sunny weekends when the boat ramps fill. Before or after lunch, walk the dog to Bayview Dog Park a few minutes south, or continue on to The Newport, another waterfront spot with dog-friendly outdoor space.
