Vat 2 Restaurant Bunbury

Vat 2 is a waterfront restaurant on Jetty Road, right on the Koombana Bay foreshore, with an upscale-casual all-day menu and an alfresco terrace that takes in the bay. For dog owners, that terrace is the whole point.

The dog setup. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor alfresco dining area only, not inside. Seat your dog under the table or close by your chair to keep the walkways clear for staff. Water bowls are often offered, but a portable travel bowl is worth packing.

Good to know. The kitchen runs breakfast through dinner plus tapas, with fresh seafood, pork belly bites and an extensive wine and cocktail list. The unobstructed bay view is the signature.

Getting there. Find it at 2/4 Jetty Road, near the Dolphin Discovery Centre and marina. There is parking nearby including a free lot close to the jetty, and it is an easy walk from the CBD along the coastal path.

Nearby with the dogs. Jetty Baths on Casuarina Drive is a short walk for calm water, and the Koombana Bay foreshore path runs right past the door.
