Den Devine Restaurant & Music Lounge

Den Devine is a New York-style music hall and cocktail lounge at 15 Victoria Avenue in Broadbeach, an intimate, rustic room built around live bands playing nightly. It is a rare combination on the Gold Coast: a proper evening music venue where the outdoor tables welcome dogs, so you can eat, drink and listen with your dog at your feet.

The dog setup

The venue's own FAQ confirms dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating while you enjoy food, drinks and the music; registered service dogs are permitted inside. There is no dedicated dog zone, so bring a mat for your dog to settle on and your own water bowl. Loud rooms are not for every dog, so the outdoor tables suit a relaxed, noise-tolerant dog, and it is worth confirming the current setup when you book for busy music nights.

Worth knowing

Hours run 4pm to midnight Tuesday to Saturday with the kitchen going to 10:30pm, and from 6pm on Sundays. The fully licensed menu leans Mediterranean, with the lamb souvlaki a regular mention, and the venue runs open mic Tuesdays, functions and a live stage recording studio. This is a night-time venue, not a daytime coffee stop.

Getting there and parking

The venue sits in the Verona complex off Victoria Avenue, a short hop from the Gold Coast Highway and close to the Old Burleigh Road corner. Street parking is available on nearby residential streets, there are paid parking stations around Broadbeach, and the Broadbeach South G:link light rail station is a short walk, which is the easy option on gig nights.

While you're out there

Before an evening show, give the dog a run at the Hedges Avenue off leash dog park, or take the on-lead riverside loop through Cascade Gardens on the highway.
