Silver Spoon Beachmere

Silver Spoon is the brunch-and-beyond cafe of Beachmere village, at 19 Biggs Avenue, pouring coffee from 6am daily and running an all-day modern Australian menu with a 4.6 rating from well over 300 reviews. It is also one of the more genuinely dog-friendly dining rooms on this stretch of the Moreton Bay coast: the alfresco seating around the front of the cafe welcomes dogs on a lead, and the venue's own listing leans into it, with visitors reporting water bowls and the occasional extra hospitality for four-legged guests.

The dog setup

Dogs sit in the outdoor footpath and alfresco seating, on a lead and beside the table, while the indoor dining room stays humans-only. The team has a reputation for being warm with pets, though on a busy weekend brunch rush a portable water bowl is worth having in the car. Arrive before 8am on a weekday and you will usually have your pick of the outdoor tables.

The food

The menu runs all-day brunch: the eggs benedict is the dish people name-check in reviews, generous and available gluten-free on request, and the kitchen handles dietary requests without fuss. Beyond breakfast there is a chicken burger, chimichurri calamari and a fillet steak with parsnip puree, plus house-made cakes and proper sourdough. Coffee is the constant. Friday and Saturday nights the cafe reopens for dinner from 5pm to 9pm, with cocktails and beer on tap, while every other day wraps at 2pm.

Beachmere is built for this pattern: walk first, eat after.
