Broger is a burger, hotdog and loaded-fries counter in the Kambri Precinct on the ANU Acton campus, just off University Avenue. It is fast-casual with an open frontage, and the wider precinct doubles as open, walkable ground for a leashed dog before or after a meal.
The dog setup. Broger's interior is small and dogs aren't part of the indoor seating, so the relevant space is the outdoor Kambri Plaza tables at the frontage. ANU's own procedure for domestic animals on campus allows dogs in outdoor campus areas provided they're under the control of a competent person, and any dog that is unattended, a nuisance or aggressive can be asked to leave. Individual traders can still set house rules for the tables right at their door, so treat it like any shared courtyard: keep the dog close on lead and bring your own water bowl rather than assume one is provided.
Known for. A wide burger menu (truffle mushroom beef burger, a vegan option), loaded fries, onion rings and southern fried chicken - quick-service food for a stop between walks, not a sit-down meal.
Getting there and parking. Broger is at 152 University Avenue, Shop 11, inside Kambri. Parking is via the paid Kambri structures; on foot the precinct connects straight onto University Avenue.
Nearby with the dogs. Sullivans Creek runs along the edge of the ANU campus a short walk away, with a track that suits dogs off-lead in places. The Acton foreshore around the Sullivans Creek inlet is roughly 700-900 metres further, with more open space to stretch legs after lunch.

Good for a quick, casual bite bracketing a campus walk rather than a destination on its own. Weekday lunch is calmer than the Friday evening crowd.
