The Kingsley Tavern

The Kingsley Tavern on Kingsley Drive has been a Perth northern suburbs institution since 1988, running a sports bar, restaurant and big alfresco areas, with dogs welcome in the outdoor sections under a stated dog-friendly policy. It is a solid pick for a proper pub meal without leaving the dog at home.

The dog setup

Dogs are allowed in the designated alfresco and courtyard areas on a lead, kept close to your table, and staff usually put water bowls out. They are not permitted inside the restaurant, sports bar or gaming areas. Book an alfresco table if you are coming on a weekend, because the outdoor section is where everyone wants to be.

The vibe

The kitchen is known for roasts served in giant Yorkshire puddings alongside steak sandwiches, parmi and calamari. The tavern sits at 90 Kingsley Drive, easily reached from the Mitchell Freeway via the Hepburn Avenue exit, with free on-site parking plus reciprocal parking in nearby lots, so you will rarely circle for a spot. It opens from 11am daily, running an hour later on Friday and Saturday nights, and the Sunday roast crowd builds from midday.
