Enjoywine Chargrill & Bar

Enjoywine Chargrill & Bar is a contemporary restaurant and wine bar at 120 Eighth Street in central Mildura, built around chargrilled steaks and local wines, and it opens for dinner only, from 5pm each day. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating, which makes it one of the few evening options in town when you are travelling with a dog.

The dog setup

Dogs are permitted in the outdoor dining area on a lead and settled beside the table rather than roaming. The layout is reasonably spacious for a city restaurant, though water bowls are not advertised, so pack a collapsible one and confirm an outdoor table when you book.

The vibe

This is dinner and a glass of local wine rather than a big country pub counter meal: chargrilled meats, seafood and salads in a cosy lounge-style room, with the occasional live music night. Because it is dinner-only, an early table is the calmest choice with a dog, before the room fills.

Pepsi: an early table on the footpath is the whole trick. I get dinner, the humans get wine, and nobody steps over me when the room fills up.

Getting there and parking

It sits on Eighth Street in the heart of town, with free street parking nearby plus a car park within easy walking distance. Access is flat and straightforward from the street.

While you're out there

The Mildura riverfront is a short walk for a lead stroll before dinner, and the Rio Vista fenced dog park by the river is the spot for off-leash time earlier in the day. If you want more dog-friendly dining, Brass Monkey on Eighth Street and The Mildura Boathouse on the waterfront both take dogs outdoors.
