What visitors mention
Edge is a modern waterfront pub on Eastern Beach Road, sitting opposite the Geelong promenade and Eastern Beach Reserve. The draw for dog owners is the wide front terrace, which makes it an easy on-leash table after a waterfront walk.
The dog setup. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor footpath and terrace seating at the front, where the bay views are. Inside is reserved for people, with only service dogs permitted indoors. Staff are generally accommodating and water bowls are usually available; bring your own on a busy day to be safe.
Good to know. It runs a broad all-day menu across breakfast, lunch, dinner and cocktails, and the atmosphere leans lively. The position is the real selling point: people-and-dog watching right on the foreshore.
Getting there. 10-14 Eastern Beach Road, Geelong. Paid parking is right out front along Eastern Beach Road, with more in the nearby reserve car parks. Easy to reach on foot along the waterfront path.
Nearby with the dogs. Eastern Beach Reserve is directly opposite for an on-leash walk, the promenade stretches along the bay, and Sailors' Rest and the Pavilion are both a short walk along the same foreshore.
Best on a still, sunny day for the terrace. Weekends fill fast, so arrive early for a front table.
