Hotel Railway Brunswick

Hotel Railway is a modern, casual neighbourhood pub on Albert Street in Brunswick, just off the Sydney Road bustle, and it earns its spot with dog owners through a large courtyard plus a dog meal that appears on the specials board in season.

The dog setup

Leashed dogs are welcome in the outdoor beer garden and courtyard, and staff are used to dogs with water bowls typically on hand. The pub has run a $10 doggy parma, a chicken schnitzel with a side salad, among its specials, though it is worth confirming it is running when you book.

Max: book a courtyard table rather than turning up and hoping. Saturday nights bring DJs and the footy crowds, and a reserved corner table keeps a young dog out of the thoroughfare.

Getting there

Street parking is available but tight, especially in the evenings. The 19 tram on Sydney Road is a short walk away, and Jewell and Brunswick stations are both close if you are coming by train.
