The Bended Elbow

The Bended Elbow holds the corner of Dean Street in central Albury, and it is the city's big session pub: three floors, a long outdoor footpath terrace, live music and a menu built around parmigianas, pork belly and a garlic cob loaf that people order as a meal in itself. Hours run from 11am to 11pm most days and later on weekends, so it covers lunch, dinner and everything between.

Dogs at the street side tables

Reported by visitors, well behaved dogs are allowed in the undercover outdoor footpath seating at street level, and the staff are known to bring out fresh water bowls without being asked. The street side tables are first come, first served, so on a busy Friday night you may be waiting for a dog suitable spot rather than just a table. Bookings generally cover the indoor rooms, which stay dog free, so an earlier arrival is the practical play.

Being on Dean Street means you are in the middle of the Albury dining strip, with street parking nearby and the city's riverside parklands only a few blocks away if you want to walk the dog before settling in. The terrace is covered, which keeps it usable through Border weather that swings between hot and wet, and the noise of the street actually helps nervous dogs settle.
