Green Zebra Albury

Green Zebra is a busy brunch and housemade-pasta cafe at 484 Dean Street, right on Albury's main strip, and dogs are welcome at the outdoor street-side tables. If you want a proper feed with the dog alongside in the middle of town, this is the easy call, but it is a footpath setting rather than a quiet courtyard.

The dog setup

Dogs join you at the outdoor tables only, not inside. The cafe is popular, so ask for an outside table when you arrive or come at a quieter hour. Staff are friendly toward dogs and have been known to bring out a water bowl, but pack your own to be sure. Because the tables sit on the Dean Street footpath, this suits a dog that stays relaxed around passing foot traffic and prams.

Worth knowing

The kitchen is known for fresh housemade pasta alongside a well-regarded breakfast and brunch menu: egg benny, smashed avo, beetroot fritters, waffles and a solid range of vegetarian and vegan dishes, with lemon tart in the cabinet. It runs breakfast and lunch only, opening around 7:45am and closing mid-afternoon, seven days.

Getting there and parking

Dean Street is Albury's central strip, walkable from most of the CBD. Free street parking is available nearby with public carparks close by, though the main-street spots turn over quickly on Saturday mornings.

Close by with the dogs

The Noreuil Park foreshore on the Murray River is a few minutes away by car for a swim or a long riverside walk after brunch, and the Albury Botanic Gardens suit a shaded on-lead stroll.
