Pemberton Pantry

Pemberton Pantry is a brunchroom, kiosk and pantry combined at 692 Pemberton Street in North Albury, well away from the CBD. Dogs are welcome at the outdoor seating, which makes it an easy coffee-and-toastie stop on a suburban walk.

The dog setup

Dogs join you at the outdoor tables; the indoor brunchroom is small and stays dog free. Water bowls are often offered and the staff are accommodating, but bring your own bowl to be safe. Weekend outdoor tables fill early, so arrive before the rush if you want a spot with your dog.

The vibe

The food side is strong for a suburban strip. The brunchroom plates made-from-scratch breakfasts such as the pork belly benny and poached eggs with homemade hollandaise, while the kiosk runs coffee, gourmet sausage rolls, toasties, pastries and the carrot cake people come back for. The pantry shelves add small goods, fresh bread and house-made reheat-at-home meals. Hours differ by day: the full brunch service runs weekends from 8am, weekdays run 7am to 4:30pm, and Wednesdays wind up at 12:30pm.

Max: Sausage roll for the human, water bowl for me, and a lap of the side streets after.

Getting there and parking

It sits in a residential pocket of North Albury with street parking on Pemberton Street and the quieter side streets. School and work mornings get busy with local traffic.

Close by with the dogs

Logan Road Park fenced dog park is a few minutes away with agility obstacles and water stations for an off-lead run before brunch. For a riverside alternative, the deck at Noreuil Park down in South Albury is the water-side pick, and House of Ivy covers the town side.
