Truganina Enclosed Dog Park

The enclosed dog park at Alcock Road Reserve is a purpose-built secure off leash area in Truganina, designed by Wyndham City Council with high boundary fencing and double gate entries. It gives owners a contained space where dogs can run and socialise without the risk of slipping away into the surrounding developing streets.

The rules

Wyndham's off leash guidelines apply: keep your dog leashed until you are safely inside the double gate entry, re leash before exiting, and stay in the park where you can see and reliably recall your dog. Dogs should wear a current registration tag and must not chase or harass wildlife.

Supervise at all times, restrain your dog while others pass through the gates, clean up with the provided bags and bins, and leash and remove any dog that turns aggressive.

What's there

Inside the fence there is a large lawn area, an active zone with agility equipment, a drinking fountain, bench seating, shaded spots, bag dispensers and a concrete accessibility path. The boundary fencing runs about 1.2 metres high with airlock style double gates.

Because the enclosure sits within the broader Alcock Road Reserve, you also get extensive parking, public BBQs and a playground just outside the fence.

Getting there

Access is via Alcock Road in Truganina, with ample on site parking, and a private vehicle is the practical way in. The reserve sits in Truganina's west, a short drive from Tarneit and Williams Landing.

Weekday evenings are the busiest stretch, with Monday to Wednesday drawing heavy early crowds of local residents. For more space to move, aim for weekday or weekend mornings.
