Conway Street Park Fenced Dog Park

Conway Street Park is a fully fenced off-lead facility at 10 Conway Street, Riverview, in Ipswich's eastern riverside suburbs. The secure boundary around the whole park is the reason locals use it: a safe, enclosed space for a proper run without the worry of runners or the nearby roads.

The dog setup

Inside the fence it is an open grass area suited to running and ball games, with some tree cover for shade. Ipswich City Council lists dog water facilities, waste bags, shaded seating and picnic spots alongside the enclosure, so you are not hauling in everything yourself. The usual council conditions sit on top: dogs stay leashed until inside the enclosure, gates close behind you, dogs are registered and supervised, and any dog showing aggression is leashed and taken out immediately.

The vibe

It is a neighbourhood park with a local regular crowd rather than a destination. Early mornings and late afternoons are busiest, weekends included, and mid-morning on a weekday is the most reliable quiet window. In summer the open grass has little cover from the heat, so aim for the cooler parts of the day.

Getting there and parking

Residential street parking near 10 Conway Street, reached via the local Riverview roads. Buses serve the surrounding suburb and the Tivoli side of the Bremer, but check the Translink app for current routes; for most people this is a quick drive.

Close by with the dogs

Fourthchild Cafe and Restaurant in Ipswich welcomes dogs in its outdoor seating and is about a ten minute drive, and Central Motel Ipswich is a pet-friendly stay option in the area.
