Anzac Park Fenced Dog Park(Orange)

Anzac Park Fenced Dog Park sits on the eastern edge of Orange and carries a bonus most local off-lead areas lack: a full set of dog agility equipment inside a secure fence. An A-frame, balance board and running rings give an active dog something to do beyond laps of the lawn.

The dog setup

The enclosure is fully fenced, so dogs can run off lead within it as long as they stay under your effective control. Elsewhere in Anzac Park the rules tighten up: keep dogs leashed and at least 10 metres clear of the children's play equipment and the permanent BBQ and table areas, and on lead anywhere set up for organised games. Pick up after your dog and use the bins provided.

Inside the fence there is partial shade from small trees, water stations for dogs, and single-gate entry. Wheelchair-accessible parking and entry points serve the space.

Pepsi: the agility frames are the best energy burner here. Work them when the park is quiet so a nervous dog can build confidence without a queue.

Worth knowing

The wider park includes skate and play zones, so expect foot traffic around the perimeter even when the dog enclosure itself is calm. Access is around the clock. Mid-week mornings and early afternoons are the quiet windows; weekends and weekday late afternoons draw the after-work crowd.

This suits active dogs that enjoy agility and a fenced run, and owners who want the security of a full enclosure rather than an open reserve.

Getting there and parking

Anzac Park is on Orange's eastern side, near the Seymour and Byng Street end of town. It is easiest by car, with free street parking close to the enclosure.

Close by with the dogs

If you are touring Orange's enclosed parks, Ridley Oval Fenced Dog Park and Machin Park Fenced Dog Park give you alternatives a few minutes apart. Central Orange's dog-friendly cafes are a short drive for the coffee stop afterwards.
