Woofside Fenced Dog Park

Woofside Fenced Dog Park is a fully fenced off-leash park on Woodside Road in Nairne, run by Mount Barker District Council, with airlock double gates so nervous escape artists can't bolt on the way in.

The rules. Off-leash is permitted inside the fenced area only. Use the airlock gates to enter and exit, keep your dog under effective control, and clean up after them; bag dispensers and bins are on site.

What's there. The park has 1.8-metre secure fencing, irrigated turf plus a gravel footpath loop, a water fountain with a dog bowl, some shelter with seating, a few activity zones, and scattered trees for shade. Parking is an informal gravel car park on site.

Getting there. It's on the corner of Woodside Road and Webber Drive, Nairne SA 5252, with easy car access and on-site parking; there's no dedicated public transport stop right at the gate.

Nearby with the dogs. Nairne's main street is a couple of minutes' drive and has dog-friendly cafes with outdoor seating, including Maple and Myrtle. Howard Vineyard's courtyard is also close by if you want to make a day of it.

Weekday afternoons and weekends tend to be quieter; Monday evenings and Thursday mornings are reportedly the busiest times, so aim outside those windows if your dog needs space to run without a crowd.
