Mount Cotton Community Park Fenced Dog Park sits at 100 Valley Way, inside the wider community park with its lake, playground and skate park. The dog enclosure is fully fenced with an airlock entry and split into separate large and small dog sections, which makes it a genuinely secure option for older, nervous or small dogs who would rather not share a run with the boisterous types.

The dog setup

Dogs run off-leash only inside the fenced zones. Redland City Council conditions apply: stay in the park with your dog, keep effective voice control so it returns when called, leash up before entering and re-leash before exiting through the airlock, and make sure the double gates close behind you. Agility equipment, shaded shelters, seating, water bowls and bag dispensers with bins cover the practical side. Aggressive dogs are leashed and removed immediately, and keep an eye on interactions near the fence line, since the adjoining playground draws children all day.

This is koala country. Council asks visitors to check the surrounding trees before unclipping, and wildlife awareness is part of the deal across Redlands parks. Getting there and parking

The park is on Valley Way in Mount Cotton, with dedicated car parking near the playground area. Public transport does not usefully reach this far out, so plan on driving; Redland Bay and Capalaba are the nearest transit hubs. Weekday mornings and evenings are the quiet windows, Sunday is the busiest stretch, and lighting is limited after dark.

Victoria Point Bushland Refuge Fenced Dog Park is about ten minutes away with its own large and small dog sections, and Gundagai Drive Park covers the Capalaba side. The Park Social in Redland Bay is a coffee stop on the drive through.
