Laidley Off-Leash Dog Park is a fully fenced off-leash area inside the Laidley Recreation Reserve on Ambrose Street, Laidley. The full fencing and double-gated entry make it a practical, secure stop for Lockyer Valley locals and travellers passing through on the Warrego Highway.
The rules. Owners must stay inside the park with their dogs at all times. Dogs need to be under effective voice control even when off-leash. Clean up immediately and use the on-site bins. Any dog showing aggressive behaviour must be leashed and removed straight away.
What's there. The double-gated entry keeps dogs safe during arrivals and departures. A water station, benches, and waste bag dispensers are on-site, along with bins. Shade is available but limited during peak sun, so plan around the middle of the day in summer. There are no separate small and large dog sections. Free parking sits nearby, just behind the main recreation building on the reserve grounds.
Getting there. The address is Laidley Recreation Reserve, Ambrose Street, Laidley QLD 4341. From Brisbane, expect roughly an hour and fifteen minutes via the M2 and Warrego Highway. From Ipswich, it is about a forty-minute drive.
Nearby with the dogs. If you are exploring the wider Lockyer Valley, Gatton Off-Leash Dog Park is another fenced off-leash option a short drive away. For a post-walk coffee, jak & Mo Taste Co in Gatton and the Floating Cafe in Grantham both welcome dogs. Need a pet-friendly stay? Trip Motel Gatton and Gatton Caravan Park - Freedom Lifestyle Parks are both within easy reach.

When to go. Weekday mornings and mid-week afternoons are the quietest. Weekend mornings and late weekday afternoons draw the biggest crowds. If your dog is anxious, aim for a mid-morning weekday slot or an earlier Sunday afternoon when the space clears out.
