What visitors mention
Jack Watkins Reserve Fenced Dog Park sits on Churchill Road in Kilburn, run by the City of Port Adelaide Enfield. Two separate fenced enclosures give dogs a genuinely secure off-leash space, which is the main draw if you want to let your dog run without worrying about traffic on the main road out front.
The rules. Dogs can run off-leash at any time inside the fenced enclosures. Owners still need to keep dogs under voice control and supervise them the whole visit. Once you step outside the fenced area, into the wider reserve or the car park, dogs need to go back on the leash. Bag stations are provided, and owners are expected to clean up.
What's there. Inside the fenced zones there are training obstacles and watering stations for the dogs. The wider reserve adds BBQs, seating, picnic shelters, walking trails, toilets, playgrounds, a basketball court and a pump track, so it works well as a stop for the whole family, not just the dog.
Getting there. The reserve is at 414 Churchill Road, Kilburn, easy to reach from the CBD or the northern suburbs since Churchill Road is a main thoroughfare. On-site parking is ample. Adelaide Metro buses run along Churchill Road with stops near the entrance if you are coming without a car.

Nearby with the dogs. Kilburn itself is mostly industrial and residential, but Prospect Road, a short drive away, has several cafes with dog-friendly outdoor seating if you want to follow the park with a coffee.
Weekday mornings and early afternoons are the quietest times to visit. Weekday evenings from 5pm to 7pm and weekend mornings from 9am to 11am draw the biggest crowds, so aim either side of those windows if your dog prefers a calmer run.
