Stadium Drive Off-leash Dog Park

Stadium Drive Off-leash Dog Park is a fully fenced exercise area in Keilor Park's light industrial pocket south of Stadium Drive, and its appeal is the combination most fenced parks struggle to offer: a large open grassy run with scattered trees, in a spot that is usually quiet and dead easy to reach from the Western Ring Road or Keilor Park Drive.

The dog setup

The whole area is fenced, so recall matters less here than at open reserves, though Brimbank City Council still expects dogs under effective control and socialised enough to handle off-lead company. The grass is open with trees throwing natural shade for dogs and owners alike. There are no water taps and no bins inside the enclosure, so bring water for the whole visit and be ready to carry waste out with you.

One genuine watch-out: a large grate drain sits on the northern side of the park, so keep curious noses away from it. Once you leave the fence for the car park, the lead goes back on.

Pepsi: Pack a water bottle even in mild weather. No taps inside means a long session depends on what you carried in.

The vibe

Industrial-zone neighbours mean this park trades scenery for space and quiet. It suits high-energy dogs who need a proper run more than they need agility gear, and owners who prefer fewer bodies in the enclosure. Weekday mornings are the calmest; the park is least busy outside the after-work window when locals drop in on the way home.

Getting there and parking

Drive via Keilor Park Drive and turn onto Stadium Drive, with a dedicated car park just inside. Buses serve the surrounding industrial area but involve a walk from the stop, so most visitors arrive by car.

Close by with the dogs

If you want agility equipment and a bigger setup, the Green Gully Reserve Fenced Dog Park in Keilor is a short drive away. The Brimbank Park trails offer an on-lead river walk for a change of pace, and Mister Hoffman in Niddrie is the dog-friendly coffee stop on the way home.
