Allingham Reserve Dog Park

Allingham Reserve Dog Park is a fully fenced off-leash park on Allingham Street in Kangaroo Flat, with a separate fenced section for small dogs, which makes it one of the more useful stops in Bendigo's north for owners with a nervy or tiny dog to socialise safely.

The rules. Dogs need to stay under control even inside the fence line. Owners must clean up after their dogs. Getting there. Park on Allingham Street itself; there's on-site and nearby street parking. It's an easy trip by public transport too, close to Kangaroo Flat Railway Station on the Bendigo line, with local bus routes running past.

Nearby with the dogs. The Kangaroo Flat main street has a handful of dog-friendly cafes a short drive away, and there are pet-friendly stays scattered through Kangaroo Flat and the wider Bendigo suburbs, worth confirming directly before booking.

When to go. Saturday and Tuesday sessions draw the biggest crowds, so aim for weekday mornings or evenings, especially Monday, Tuesday or Thursday nights, if your dog does better with fewer playmates around.
