Corinda Off-leash

Corinda Off-leash, also known as the George Scarlett Park Fenced Dog Park, is a fully fenced off-leash facility at 101 Pratten Street, Corinda, managed by Brisbane City Council. Its split design gives small and large dogs separate areas, and the double-gated entries take the white-knuckle moment out of arriving and leaving.

The dog setup

The park runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Dogs must be leashed while passing through the double-gated airlock entry, and you need to carry a lead and keep your dog under effective voice control inside. Clean up after your dog with the waste bags and bins provided on site.

Amenities cover the basics well: drinking water taps with dog bowls, agility equipment including pipes and ramps for dogs that like a challenge, shaded seating, and waste bag dispensers. Mature trees add natural shade across the enclosure, so the park stays usable on warmer Queensland mornings.

Pepsi: the split design means the small dog section is mine and no overenthusiastic Labrador gets to trample it. Best feature of the whole park as far as I am concerned.

Getting there and parking

The park is at 101 Pratten Street in a quiet residential pocket of Corinda. Parking is on-street along Pratten Street and the surrounding streets, and it can take a loop or two at busy periods since there is no dedicated car park. Corinda Station is reasonably close if you are walking in from the train.

The vibe

Being residential and fully fenced, it draws a steady local crowd rather than a destination queue: early mornings and late afternoons are the social hours, and midday weekdays are the quiet ones. The wider George Scarlett Park includes a children's playground, so keep your dog clear of the play equipment zone.

Close by with the dogs

If you are collecting fenced parks, Faulkner Park Fenced Dog Park in Graceville and Sherwood Dog Park are both close by, and Oxley Creek Common walk adds an on-leash stretch for a longer morning.
