Jackson Reserve Dog Off Leash Area

Jackson Reserve on Outlook Road is a large, open off-leash reserve in Coburg North, popular with local dog walkers for its simple stretch of grass fields. It is a straightforward neighbourhood spot rather than a destination park, well suited to a daily run when the ground is dry.

The rules. Keep your dog leashed to and from the car, then off-leash within the designated area under voice or hand control. Carry a lead at all times even when your dog is loose, and stay on-lead within 15 metres of any sporting ground during a game. Bring your own bags, as none are supplied, and clean up.

What's there. A water fountain, some seating, and free parking nearby, with a wheelchair-accessible entrance. It is a plain open space rather than a kitted-out dog park, so the appeal is room to move.

When to go. Weekday mornings and late evenings are quietest; weekend mornings and late afternoons bring the regulars out. Good for a reliable local run on dry days.
