What visitors mention
Bomo Dog Bowl is a fully fenced, 24/7 off-leash park on the old Thurgate Oval site in Bomaderry, and it is one of the better-equipped dog parks in the Shoalhaven. A double-gate airlock entry keeps escapes to a minimum, and a 2025 upgrade added a second fenced section so nervous or small dogs are not forced to share space with the boisterous crowd.
- The rules. Off-leash and open 24/7 within the fenced boundary. Clean up after your dog using the doggy bags provided. With the two-section layout now in place, use the smaller section for shy, small, or elderly dogs and the main bowl for confident, social dogs.
- What's there. A water station with bowls, doggy bags, boulders for owners to sit on, some agility gear, and a bucket of donated toys that regulars top up. Shaded seating is limited, so bring your own shade on hot days.
- Getting there. Thurgate Oval, Birriley Street, Bomaderry NSW 2541. There is a car park directly next to the park, and Bomaderry railway station is close enough to walk from if you are relying on public transport.
- Watch-outs. The ground can develop holes with heavy use, so keep an eye on footing, especially for boisterous play.

Weekday mornings and early afternoons are the quiet window. Saturday mornings, Sunday mornings, and Monday and Wednesday evenings draw the biggest crowds, so aim outside those times if your dog prefers a quieter run.
