Bostons Espresso-Cafe

Bostons Espresso is a small cafe at 11 Atchison Street in the Wollongong CBD doing fresh, healthy breakfast and lunch, and it is one of the few in the city centre that is genuinely set up for dogs rather than merely tolerating them. Staff put water out and keep dog treats on hand, including air-dried kangaroo chews that regulars' dogs know all about.

The vibe

The menu leans fresh and healthy: bacon and egg rolls, avocado plates and an almond croissant that sells through, with cappuccinos and hot chocolates doing steady trade. Service is warm without fuss, and the pace suits a weekday coffee-and-walk routine rather than a long weekend brunch.

Getting there and parking

Bostons is on Atchison Street in the CBD. Kerbside parking nearby is paid and time-limited; the Wollongong Central car parks are a short walk if the street is full, and the walk over adds a lead stretch either side of coffee.

Close by with the dogs
