Nosso Café

Nosso Café is a Brazilian brunch spot on Brebner Drive in West Lakes, right on the water, and one of the few Adelaide cafes with a genuine lakefront outlook. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating that looks over the lake.

The dog setup

Dogs join you in the open-air outdoor seating on the lake side. Indoors is for humans only. Staff often put a water bowl out, but bring your own as backup, especially on warm Adelaide days. The tables sit beside the pedestrian walkway, so keep the lead short when walkers pass.

Worth knowing

Nosso is known for its pao de queijo cheese bread, feijoada and coxinhas, alongside a solid brunch menu with smashed avo and good coffee. It opens 8am to 3pm Tuesday through Sunday and closes Mondays. Weekend mornings fill up, so arrive early if you want a lakeside table with room for the dog.

Getting there and parking

It is on Brebner Drive, West Lakes, about 20 minutes northwest of the city. Street parking is available nearby, and the cafe sits right on the West Lakes pedestrian walkway, so it is an easy stop mid-walk rather than a destination you need to park right at.

Close by with the dogs

The shared path around the lake runs right past the door. It is an on-lead circuit, about six kilometres the full way around, flat and paved with limited shade on hot days. Small sandy patches and grass along the foreshore suit a slower wander. For another coffee after the loop, The Cafe Syndicate is close by, or head to the coast for The Spare Room at Grange beach.
