Qahwa Coffee Roasters and Espresso Bar

Qahwa Coffee Roasters and Espresso Bar works out of the old red brick building at 93 Bridge Terrace, directly opposite the Victor Harbor foreshore. The beans are roasted on site, the footpath seating looks over the beach, and dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables, which makes it a natural stop for anyone walking the dog along the coast.

The dog setup

Dogs join you at the outdoor seating along the beachside frontage, not inside. There is room for a leashed dog to settle beside the table, and water bowls are usually on offer, though on a busy holiday morning it pays to bring your own. Indoor seating is limited and kept for diners without dogs.

Worth knowing

Coffee is the headline here, with the roaster working behind the counter, and the kitchen runs to cooked breakfasts, an eggs on toast with salmon, pumpkin bread and house-baked cakes, plus some local beer and wine. Hours are 8am to 3pm every day. It sits right in the tourist current, so expect a wait for a foreshore table on summer weekends and around school holidays. Mid-morning on a weekday is the calm window.

Getting there and parking

Street parking runs along Bridge Terrace and the side streets, and it turns over quickly in peak season. The town centre is an easy walk, with the Causeway a short stroll on. The fenced Victor Harbor Fenced Dog Park is a short drive inland for a proper run before or after coffee, and Found Coffee House is another dog-friendly caffeine stop in town if the foreshore tables are full.
