What visitors mention
Bayaroma Cafe sits at 4/400 Esplanade, Torquay, on the busy Hervey Bay foreshore and directly opposite the Torquay swimming beach. It is a popular all-day breakfast and lunch cafe, and the draw for dog owners is the spacious, shaded outdoor area right on the beachfront strip, with the foreshore path a few steps away.
The dog setup. Dogs are welcome at the outdoor footpath tables, which are shaded and spread out enough to leave room between you and the next diners. Staff will usually bring water for your dog. The Esplanade out front is busy, so keep your dog on lead and settled beside passing walkers.
Good to know. The cafe is known for consistently good barista coffee, generous portions and a long milkshake and thickshake list. It gets busy, particularly on weekends, so an earlier visit is calmer for a dog.
Getting there. Street parking runs along the Esplanade and can fill on weekends. There is usually extra parking in the Torquay Beach areas just across the road.
Nearby with the dogs. The beach and foreshore walkway are directly opposite, so a walk slots onto either end of your visit. Several stretches of the Hervey Bay foreshore are leash-free; check the council signs for the designated zones before letting your dog off lead.
