Timboon Provedore

Timboon Provedore runs from a weatherboard shopfront at 37 Main Street, and it wears the district on the menu: local produce in, sandwiches and baked goods out. It opens 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday, 8am to 3pm Saturday and 9am to 2pm Sunday, which makes it one of the few Timboon stops that covers all seven days.

The dog setup is out the back: a shaded outdoor deck and courtyard where visitors regularly settle in with a dog over coffee, per regional listings and consistent visitor feedback; there is no written policy on the venue site. The deck keeps the sun off in summer and the courtyard gives a dog room to lie down without sitting in a walkway, which is more than most highway town cafes manage.

The chicken focaccia is the order regulars name first, with sausage rolls and pies pulling close behind, and the muffins disappear early. Everything is built around the provedore idea, so the shelves carry the same local produce that goes into the kitchen, and it is a legitimate spot to stock the car for the drive home as well as eat lunch. Visitors call out the staff for looking after the room properly, and coffee turnover is quick even when the Saturday trade stacks up.

Across the street, The Fat Cow Food Co handles the weekday breakfast crowd, and the two make a natural split if your crew cannot agree on a menu. The Timboon-Camperdown Rail Trail starts a short walk from Main Street for a leashed walk after lunch, and Timboon Fine Ice Cream is the standard closing stop.
