The Coffee Club Café - Tingalpa Drive Thru

The Coffee Club on Wynnum Road, Tingalpa, is known as Brisbane's first drive-thru Coffee Club, and for dog owners the useful part is the alfresco seating where dogs are welcome at the table. It is a convenient chain stop on the run between the Gateway Motorway and the bayside rather than a destination cafe, which is exactly what some mornings call for.

The dog setup

Dogs are limited to the outdoor tables and cannot come inside. Staff are generally accommodating, but bring your own collapsible bowl rather than counting on a water bowl being out, and keep your dog tethered to you rather than to the furniture. If your dog is happier staying in the car, the drive-thru lane wraps around the building, so a pup-focused trip can be coffee only.

Worth knowing

The menu is standard all-day Coffee Club fare: hash browns, poached eggs, croissants and the avo toastie get the most mentions, alongside burgers, wraps, toasties and the blended iced coffees the chain is known for. Nothing here is dog-specific, so think of it as fuel rather than an experience. Doors open early: 5am on weekdays, 6am Saturday and 7am Sunday, all closing at 3pm.

Getting there and parking

The cafe is at 1631 Wynnum Rd, Tingalpa QLD 4173, near the Manly Road junction, with free on-site parking off Wynnum Road. The car park and drive-thru both get busy in the commuter rush, so aim for a weekday mid-morning if you want an easy park and a quiet table.

Close by with the dogs

Kiawanah Park Fenced Dog Park is just down the same stretch of Wynnum Road, making an easy coffee-then-park loop, and Robinson Park Fenced Dog Park is a few minutes away off Bognor Street. For a proper dog-friendly lunch instead, Crafty Monk Brewing is close by, and Frenchies Cafe in Wynnum is the local stand-out for dogs.
