Good Days Cafe

Good Days Cafe at 880 Princes Highway, Tempe is a play cafe with a twist: a contained, Montessori-style play space for children up to about six years old inside, and a genuinely good cafe menu for the adults minding them. Dogs fit into the format at the front - the outdoor footpath-side seating is where they stay.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables at the front of the cafe, on lead. The indoor area is built around the children's play space, so this is strictly an outside-table venue. A water bowl is usually out, but bring your own if your dog is fussy about shared bowls, and pack your own treats as there is no dog menu confirmed. Weekends get busy with the play cafe crowd, so a weekday visit is the calmer bet for a dog at your feet.

The vibe and the menu

Even without kids in tow, the food stacks up: eggs benny, the wagyu sanga regulars order again and again, croissants, potato wedges, matcha and a mixed berry smoothie on the drinks list, alongside proper espresso. Hours run Monday to Saturday 7am to 2.30pm and Sunday 8am to 2.30pm, with the kitchen winding up half an hour before close. It is a relaxed family crowd rather than a laptop cafe, and the contained play area means the indoor noise is deliberate.

Getting there and parking

The cafe sits on the Princes Highway within an easy walk of Tempe train station. On-site parking is limited to a handful of spaces, so plan on street parking along the highway or nearby side streets, which tightens up on weekend mornings.

Tempe Dog Park at Tempe Reserve has fully fenced sections split by dog size for a proper run before coffee, and the Wolli Creek walking track is the scenic on-lead option nearby.
