Woronora Tea Rooms Cafe by Celeste is a small cottage cafe and florist inside the grounds of Woronora Memorial Park at 120-122 Linden Street, Sutherland. It is an unusual setting for a dog-friendly coffee, but the outdoor tables in the landscaped grounds make it one of the quieter alfresco seats in the shire.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables around the cafe; the cottage dining room itself is people-only. Keep dogs leashed and close to your table, since this is a working memorial park and grounds staff and other visitors deserve a wide berth. Staff sometimes put water bowls out, but bring your own as backup.

The vibe

Expect tea and coffee, light meals, fresh muffins and sandwiches, and fresh flowers on sale, with the cafe doubling as a florist. The mood is calm and garden-like rather than buzzy. It suits a quiet coffee stop rather than a big group outing, and the short opening window reinforces that.

Enter the Woronora Memorial Park grounds; free parking is available within the park near the cafe. Hours are weekdays only, 9am to 2:30pm, closed weekends, so confirm before making a special trip. A weekday mid-morning is the natural time.
