Yours Truly is a small, sharp coffee bar on Rokeby Road in the middle of Subiaco, known for tidy latte art and a toastie list that punches above its size. The covered alfresco tables on the street are where dogs are genuinely welcome, which makes it an easy pause on a Subiaco walk.

Dogs settle at the covered alfresco tables on Rokeby Road, on lead and beside your chair. Staff are known for being warm with dogs, and puppaccinos are on offer, so it is a place a well-mannered dog gets fussed over. Bring a lead your dog is happy to sit on for a while; space is compact and the footpath traffic is steady.

Worth knowing

The coffee is the draw, with the toasties close behind: the Subi melt with cheese, sweet pickle and mustard, bagels, bacon and egg muffins and a biscoff slice for the counter. Hours run 6am to 3pm Monday to Friday, 7am to 1pm Saturday, and it is closed Sundays, so plan the dog walk around a weekday or Saturday morning.

Getting there and parking

The cafe is at 111 Rokeby Road, Subiaco. Street parking runs along Rokeby Road with overflow in the Subiaco Village car park and the side streets, though it all tightens on Saturday mornings.

Close by with the dogs

For the post-coffee walk, Montario Quarter Hillside Park Fenced Dog Park in Daglish is a short drive west with a fully fenced run, and Lake Monger Dog Park gives the full circuit around the water. Subiaco Common's oval is a designated off-lead spot for a controlled run, while the manicured Rankin Gardens by the library stays on-lead. For a second coffee, Little Paris Creperie is up the same strip.

Max: it is a kerbside table cafe, so this is not the spot for a dog that hates traffic. Chill pup, good toastie, easy morning.
