Noego Cantina

Noego Cantina is a casual corner cafe at 158 Scarborough Street, Southport, a few minutes' walk from the Broadwater Parklands, with a strong pet-welcoming streak and an easy walk-in from the street. It trades 6am to 2pm Monday to Friday and 6am to 12:30pm Saturdays, closing Sundays, so it is a breakfast-and-lunch operation.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome in the outdoor and footpath seating, where the undercover tables let you settle a dog beside you straight off the street. Water bowls are typically available, and the cafe has offered pup cups, so canine customers are genuinely part of the routine rather than a tolerated exception. Keep your dog leashed at the tables, as the footpath gets foot traffic from the Scarborough Street shops.

Pepsi: morning tables in the shade go early, especially before a Broadwater walk. Order a pup cup at the counter and it usually appears with the coffee.

The vibe

The menu is a brunch-and-wraps affair: hot pancakes with spiced cookie cream, all-day breakfast plates, bacon and egg muffins, and a signature wrap list that runs from a Reuben to butter chicken. Coffee is a strong point, and the small dining room keeps a relaxed, no-fuss feel.

Getting there and parking

Street parking runs along Scarborough Street and the surrounding blocks, mostly metered or time-limited near the shops. The G:link tram and Southport bus interchange are close if you are coming in without a car.

Broadwater Parklands is a few minutes' walk for an on-lead stroll along the waterfront paths. For an off-lead run, Musgrave Park Dog Off Leash Area at Labrador is fully fenced with agility gear and water stations. For another dog-friendly coffee, Broadwater Cafe, Caffe Republic and Hazel Espresso are all Southport options.
