The Sweet Capp

The Sweet Capp is a coffee trailer parked at 21 Glendower Street in Rosemeadow, a kerbside setup rather than a sit-down cafe, and that makes it one of the easier coffee stops in the Macarthur area to run with a dog on the way. Order from the window, take a spot at the outdoor tables beside the van, and you never have to leave your dog tied up or waiting in the car. Hours run 5:30am to 10am, seven days.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the outdoor, kerbside seating right beside the trailer, and the casual street-side tables give a dog room to settle. If the morning is too hot or wet, the online ordering system has a kerbside pickup option: stay in the car with your dog and staff bring the order out. Water bowls are sometimes put out for local dogs, but a travel bowl in the cupholder is the reliable bet.

What is on the menu

The draw is generous, fairly priced coffee backed by a bigger food list than most vans attempt: bacon and egg rolls, bacon and egg muffins, sausage muffins, a BBQ bacon cheeseburger and a works burger, plus banana bread, mango and coconut bread and rotating baked goods. The milkshake list runs to around a dozen flavours made with real ice cream, which earns it a steady local following beyond the morning commuter run.

Getting there and parking

The trailer sits on Glendower Street with free, unmetered street parking directly out front, a quick hop from Rosemeadow Marketplace on Thomas Rose Drive. Mornings are the sweet spot; it winds down by 10am, so check the Facebook page for the day's exact hours or any extended evening trades before heading over.

Close by with the dogs

The Bado-Berong Creek trail is nearby for a leashed stretch of mostly flat, paved walking, and under Campbelltown council rules dogs stay on lead on reserves and paths outside designated off-leash areas. For a proper run, the Baden Powell Reserve fenced dog park in Bradbury is about a six-minute drive north, with Mary Brookes Reserve at St Helens Park another fenced option nearby. If you want a full sit-down brunch instead, XS Espresso Rosemeadow at the Marketplace has dog-friendly outdoor seating too.
