Tuyo Potts Point

Tuyo is a small, well-regarded cafe on a leafy stretch of Victoria Street in Potts Point, and it makes no secret of being dog-friendly. Dogs join you at the al-fresco tables out front on the footpath, which catches good morning sun, so it works as an easy coffee stop on the way to or from the neighbourhood's parks. The kitchen is a proper brunch one: shakshuka, corn fritters, a haloumi stack and eggs benedict, with pulled lamb sandwiches and acai bowls filling out the list.

Per NSW food-safety rules dogs stay outside the indoor cafe space. This is a quieter pocket of Potts Point, a few minutes off the main strip, and reviewers consistently call out the coffee alongside the shakshuka. Hours run 7am to 3pm on weekdays and 8am to 3pm on weekends, so it is a morning-and-lunch operation. Arrive early on weekends if a dog spot is the priority.

Getting there and parking

The cafe is at 142 Victoria Street, roughly a five to seven minute walk from Kings Cross Station, which is the practical way in. Metered street parking sits on Victoria Street and nearby Ward Avenue and Orwell Street, and it tightens between 10am and 1pm on weekends.
