Bean There Done That Espresso Bar is a small local coffee stop on Timari Street on the Sunshine Coast's northern beaches, a few minutes from Mudjimba. It fits the beach-walk-then-coffee routine well: dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating area out front, and the 5:30am weekday opening means an early beach session does not have to wait for the coffee.

The espresso bar is known for its coffee, the cappuccino in particular, and the breakfast burger and bacon and egg roll do steady work in the mornings. There has been a regular $10 breakfast special, and staff are consistently described as friendly, which helps when you are juggling a leash and a coffee order at the counter.

Max: weekday mornings are the quiet window here. Weekends bring more foot traffic past the strip tables, which tests a settled dog.

The cafe is at 20 Timari Street, just off the Sunshine Motorway, with street parking along the strip. It opens 5:30am to 1:30pm Monday to Saturday and 6:30am to 1pm on Sundays, so it is a morning-and-early-lunch venue rather than an afternoon one. Policies at outdoor cafe seating can change, so confirm the dog rules when you order.

Close by with the dogs

Mudjimba Beach is three to four minutes away by car, and the Mudjimba off leash beach gives the dog a proper run before or after your coffee. For another cup, The Island Surf and Espresso sits on the Mudjimba Esplanade and Cuba St Coffee Roasters is just up the road at Marcoola.
