Baan Mai

Baan Mai is a well-regarded Thai restaurant on Mudjimba Beach Road, in the heart of the village. It is an evening spot known for authentic, generous curries, and dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating.

The dog setup. Dogs are welcome in the non-enclosed outdoor area only, kept on the ground and on a lead, in line with Queensland food safety rules. Staff are friendly and have been known to bring out a bowl of water. Bring your own on a warm night to be safe.

Good to know. The kitchen is praised for its Massaman beef curry and yellow curry fish, with the prawn pad thai, green curry, and chicken satay also popular. It is dinner only, generally from 5pm Tuesday to Sunday and closed Mondays, so plan an evening walk around it.

Nearby. Mudjimba Beach is on-leash and a short walk away, with the off-leash foreshore a few minutes further south. The footpath along Mudjimba Beach Road suits a pre-dinner stroll.
