Tidz Across The Park

Tidz Across The Park sits on Oatley Parade in the middle of the Oatley village, directly opposite the leafy park beside the station, and the name tells you the layout: the alfresco tables run along the front, looking over the green. Dogs are welcome at those footpath tables, and staff will bring a water bowl out on request, which makes this the default coffee stop after the village circuit with the lead on.

The dog setup

The dog-friendly seating is the front alfresco strip, on lead, with the park across the way adding a bit of visual room even though the tables themselves are close together. Staff are known to be easygoing with dogs and will bring water bowls when asked. Weekend mornings get busy with the family trade, so the quiet window is weekday mornings before the school run clears.

The vibe and the menu

It is a welcoming, family-heavy local: generous serves, cake and meringue in the cabinet, fresh juices and Campos coffee. Hours run 6am to 3pm weekdays and 6:30am to 2pm weekends. Reviews pick out the outlook onto the park and the friendly atmosphere more than fancy food, and the kids-friendly setup means weekends are lively rather than calm.

Getting there and parking

The cafe is a step from Oatley station, with street parking through the village. Note the park rules before letting anyone off lead: Oatley Park itself is on-lead only, a wildlife protection area under Georges River Council, so the leash stays on for the bush tracks. For a proper run, the fenced area at Moore Reserve is the closest off-lead option. Oatley Park is the local walk, and The Hungry Spoon Cafe is the village's other dog-friendly table.
