What visitors mention
Line Up Coffee sits at the northern end of Pakington Street in Newtown, at 400-404 Pakington St. It is one of the genuinely dog-welcoming cafes on the strip, taking dogs indoors as well as out, which is a real advantage on a cold or wet Geelong morning.
The dog setup. Dogs are welcome inside the spacious industrial-styled room and at the outdoor tables. The interior has room to settle a dog beside the table without blocking the floor. Staff have a good name with canine regulars, and a pet bakery nearby handles treats.
Good to know. The house-made waffles are the signature, backed by strong specialty coffee and a proper brunch menu with eggs benedict and the like. It is a busy, well-rated spot, so expect a wait at peak.
Getting there. Free street parking is usually available out front or on the side streets, and Pakington Street bus routes stop close by.
Nearby with the dogs. Pakington Street is a dog-friendly stretch to walk on-lead, and the Barwon River tracks are a short walk or a few minutes' drive for a longer run.
Weekday mornings are easiest. If you want the indoor option with your dog on a busy weekend, get in early before the brunch rush lands.
