Lynch's Hub is a relaxed cafe on the Newcastle foreshore at the harbour end of Hunter Street, with views over the working harbour and Nobbys Lighthouse. It is a popular stop for dog walkers coming off the foreshore path.

The dog setup. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating, in either the shade of the palms or the sun. Staff are happy to have dogs, and you can borrow a picnic blanket to sit out on the nearby grass with your dog. Indoor seating is for people only, but the outdoor area is the main draw anyway. Bring a water bowl to be safe.

Good to know. The pull here is the harbour outlook, the passing ships and the lighthouse view, paired with good coffee and a casual feel. It is a community spot linking the foreshore parklands to the city.

Getting there. It is at 605/607 Hunter Street on the foreshore, easiest reached on foot along the harbour walking path. Street parking nearby is limited; paid parking stations around Honeysuckle are a short walk away.

Nearby with the dogs. Foreshore Park is right outside for a walk, and the harbour pathway runs straight past the door. Horseshoe Beach, the 24/7 off-leash dog beach, is an easy stroll along the foreshore.
