Lynch's Hub

Lynch's Hub sits on the Newcastle foreshore at the harbour end of Hunter Street, looking over the working harbour toward Nobbys Lighthouse. It is a natural turnaround point for foreshore dog walkers: outdoor seating under the palms, harbour views, and a casual menu that runs from bacon and egg rolls to gelato and Portuguese tarts. Doors open at 7am, running to 2pm on weekdays and 5pm on weekends.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating, in sun or shade, and staff are genuinely happy to see them. A quiet extra: you can borrow a picnic blanket and settle out on the nearby grass if the tables are full. Indoor seating is people only, but nobody comes here for the indoors anyway. Bring your own water bowl to be safe, since one is not guaranteed at every table.

The vibe

The pull is the outlook: passing ships, the lighthouse, and the flat foreshore path running past the door. There are vegan options alongside the milkshakes and banana bread, so mixed groups are easy. It reads as a community spot linking the foreshore parklands to the city rather than a destination brunch cafe, and the weekend crowd is heavy on strollers and dogs.

Getting there and parking

605/607 Hunter Street on the foreshore, easiest reached on foot along the harbour walking path. Street parking nearby is limited, so paid parking stations around Honeysuckle are the reliable fallback.

While you're out there

Foreshore Park is right outside, and the harbour pathway runs straight past. For off-leash time, Horseshoe Beach is the 24/7 dog beach an easy stroll along the foreshore, with Newcastle Dogs Beach as another option.
